NOIDA - New Okhla Industrial Development Authority
New Okhla Industrial Development Authority is the name given to city located in Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh state. It is under the management of the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, from which the city got its name. It is about 20 kms from New Delhi and bonded by Yamuna and Hindon River.
The city came into existence on 17 April 1976 and celebrates 17 April as "Noida Day". Due to its proximity to Delhi, Special Economic Zone status and great Infrastructure facilities, it is the hub for major IT and outsourcing companies including : IBM, Fujitsu, Adobe, Patni Computers, Metlife, TCS, WIPRO etc.

Noida Extension is an unofficial name given to the adjoining areas of Noida. It is planned to have excellent connectivity to other parts of Noida and the NCR region through Rail, Bus and Metro.
