GRE – Graduate Record Examinations
The Graduate Record Examinations is a standardized test for admission in variousĀ graduate, Post graduation and PhD programme in the United States, Canada and other English-speaking countries including India. It is administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS), Princeton, New Jersey since 1949.
About the Exam Structure
GRE aims to measure individual on 4 basic levels :
Quantitative reasoning
Critical thinking
Verbal reasoning
Analytical writing
There is no restriction on the age of an individual and anyone is eligible to take this exam. An individual may appear for a GRE General Test or a Subject Test or both depending upon the requirement.
For Subject test, a candidate can opt for the following subjects :-
- Mathematics
- Computer Science
- Physics
- Biology
- Biochemistry
- Chemistry
- Psychology
