The NASDAQ is an American stock exchange based in New York City. It was founded in 1971 by an Association, name National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and is regulated by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the successor to the NASD. It was the world’s first electronic stock market, and till date, the stock are always traded electronically.
