OEM – Original Equipment Manufacturer
Original Equipment Manufacturer makes equipment that are then marketed, integrated, used or sold by another reseller under their own name. Another definition of OEM which was recently evolved : a company that buys products from another company and then sells it under its own brand name.
An Example of OEM
Suppose, as a retailer, i have purchased an ‘MS Windows’ to integrate it with my Computer hardware which will be sold to customers. Now, if an end-user or a consumer faces any problem with the actual product, it is my duty to provide service for Windows.
